Applications

Recommendations for application

Basfoliar® CaBMag has been developed as single source to cure calcium disorder and deficiency of magnesium and boron. It controls physiological leaf diseases and physiological storage diseases in plants. Boron plays important role in pollination and elongation and germination of pollinic tube. This ensures fruit set and better yield.

Plants that are Mg-deficiency display interveinal chlorosis and have reduced photosynthesis. Magnesium deficiency results in chlorotic and necrotic tissues with an orange, red, or brownish colour. Yellowing of the leaf margin is also common on many plant species. Early leaf senescence may also occur, particularly on older leaves as Mg is easily translocated through the plant Experimental results show that Basfoliar® CaBMag improves the fruit quality by inducing cell wall formation + energy + proteins.

Method of application

Basfoliar® CaBMag at the recommended rates can be added to all the usual crop protection sprays. However, since it is not possible to foresee all the circumstances that can occur in practice (temperature, water quality, new crop protection agents, etc.), mixing and plant compatibility test should be carried out in each case with small amounts of the products to be sprayed in the intended ratio. Precipitates that may have formed under inappropriate storage conditions have to be kept out of the spray solution. For preparing the spray mixture, the following sequence has proved suitable: first water, then Basfoliar® CaBMag, and then crop protection agent. Do not apply Basfoliar® CaBMag together with other foliar fertilizers.

Rate of Application: 2 to 5mL/L
Spray apples at approx. 14 days intervals, beginning when fruits have reached walnut size until shortly before harvesting. Use lower recommended rates for first application. Spray sweet cherries after flowering and two times together with the last fungicide sprayings. Spray strawberries at flowering and together with the fungicide sprays. Against blossom-end rot in tomatoes, sweet peppers and cucumbers, start sprays at flowering.
