Description

Green-T® Infiltrate-K 0-0-29 is a specialized liquid fertilizer developed by Plant Food Co., having an organic based potassium acetate formulation designed to deliver potassium efficiently through foliar application. It provides 29% soluble potash (K2O) from potassium acetate, enabling rapid absorption with slow drying, high solubility, and low burn potential even at higher rates. Turfgrass absorbs K in much higher concentration compared to other salt-based K fertilizers due to the acetate-based chemistry. Acetate acts as a natural plant metabolite and precursor which is directly converted into acetyl-CoA and enters the TCA cycle to support energy production. This process spares carbohydrates during stress periods, allowing the turf to redirect those resources toward growth, stress defense, and overall resilience.

The acetate component provides chelating and buffering qualities that stabilize nutrients, release unavailable ones, and resemble organic acids for enhanced efficiency. It also lowers water’s freezing point of water on plant surfaces without causing harm, helping reduce morning frost damage for several days after spring or fall applications. This mechanism makes infiltrate-K particularly valuable for professional turf management, where quick, safe, and effective potassium nutrition is needed to maintain turf quality year-round.

Benifits

  • Superior foliar uptake and efficiency of potassium compared to traditional sources due to unique acetate composition.
  • Low salt index, slow drying and organic based formulation, enables safer applications without inducing phytotoxicity.
  • Potassium improves stress resistance, supporting cell wall strength, water regulation, enzyme activation and overall turf resilience.
  • Unlike many salt-based fertilizers, it causes minimal leaf scorching even at higher rates.
  • Acetates support TCA cycle energy production that reserves carbohydrates for growth and defense under stress conditions.
  • Reduce morning frost incidence in spring and fall by lowering freezing point of water on plant surfaces without undue stress to turf.
  • Chelating and buffering qualities of acetate stabilize nutrients and potentially release fixed nutrients in plant and soil.
  • Ideal as a supplement in fertility program for warm, cool, and transitional grasses on greens, roughs, fairways, sports turf, and lawns.
  • It promotes consistent quality, vigor, and recovery with minimal risk in turf grass system.

Application

Direction for use:

Greens, Tees, and Fine Turf: Apply 64-255 ml of Green-T® Infiltrate-K 0-0-29 with 6.6-8.8 L of water per 100 m² (0.7-2.7 gallons of Green-T® Infiltrate-K 0-0-29 with 66-88 gallons of water per acre), every 14 days throughout the growing season. This application shall provide 0.05-0.20 lb. of actual potassium per 1000 sq. ft.

Fairways, Roughs, Sports Turf and Lawns: Apply 191-318 ml of Green-T® Infiltrate-K 0-0-29 with 4.4-8.8 L of water per 100 m² (2.0-3.4 gallons of Green-T® Infiltrate-K 0-0-29 with 44-88 gallons of water per acre), every 2 to 4 weeks throughout the growing season. This application shall provide 0.15-0.25 lb. of actual potassium per 1000 sq. ft.

Precautions

  • Always test on small area if combining with other products.
  • Adjust rates based on soil tests, turf needs, environmental condition, and potassium deficiency to avoid over application.
  • Suitable for warm season, transitional, and cool season grasses year-round.
  • Follow label directions precisely for best results and compliance.

Heath Hazards

  • Acute toxicity, oral (harmful if swallowed)- Category 4
  • Serious eye damage or eye irritation- Category 2A
  • Specific target organ toxicity, single exposure (respiratory tract irritation)- Category 3
  • Hazardous to the aquatic environment, acute hazard- Category 2

Handling & Use

  • Use only in well-ventilated areas or outdoors.
  • Avoid breathing mist/vapor, wear eye protection and gloves.
  • Wash hands and skin thoroughly after use.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling.
  • Avoid eye contact and release to environment/ water.
  • Provide adequate ventilation during application.
  • Heating evolves ammonia vapors (irritating); heating to dryness may produce ammonia, ammonium sulfate, sulfur, and sulfur oxides (respiratory hazard).
  • Follow label rates exactly to avoid over application risks for turf or plant use.

Storage

  • Store above 32°F (0°C)- Do not allow to freeze.
  • Keep container tightly closed, in cold or dry places away from sunlight and heat.
  • Avoid interaction with heat, oxidizers, acids or alkalis.
  • Strong oxidizers such as nitrates, nitrites or chlorates can cause explosive mixtures if heated to dryness.
  • Avoid temperatures above 120°F (49°C) and below 32°F (0°C).

First Aid

  • Inhalation: Move to fresh air, if breathing is difficult, give oxygen/artificial respiration; seek medical help if unwell.

  • Eye contact: Flush eyes with water for at least 15 min., seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • Ingestion: Rinse mouth; do not induce vomiting; call poison center or doctor immediately if unwell.
  • Most important symptoms: Irritation of eyes and mucous membranes.

Spill and Disposal Tips

  • Wear PPE, keep people away.
  • Wipe immediately with absorbent materials for small spills.
  • For large spills, stop flow if safe, cover with plastic sheet, and absorb in vermiculite.
  • Do not pour spilled products back into the original container, dispose it as hazardous waste per local regulations.
