Description
Green-T® Impulse™ is a bio stimulant, manufactured by Plant Food Co., aims to improve the resilience and vitality of turfgrass under various environmental stress. Bio stimulants enhance plant growth by stimulating natural processes, rather than acting as fertilizers or pesticides.
Green-T® Impulse™ combines Glycine, Betaine amino acids and sucrose, derived from stress resistant plant complexes. This effectively reduces wilt and oxidative stress by expelling sodium from leaves and elevating potassium and calcium levels which strengthens structural integrity and decreases H2O2 accumulation to facilitate quick recovery from abiotic stresses.
The sugar from sucrose and high carbon serve as an energy source for soil microbes that supports improved soil structure, prevents excessive thatch buildup, and better water infiltration in soil.
Additionally, it protects photosynthesis during drought conditions by modifying the lipid composition of the thylakoid membrane, allowing turf to remain green under limited moisture.
By incorporating salicylic acid (SA) which acts as a signaling molecule, it stimulates the plant’s Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) pathway, which activates and primes the turfgrass natural defense mechanisms against diseases and pathogens, while improving nutrient uptake efficiency in turfgrass.
Benefits
- Significantly increases K and Ca levels within plant cells, which are crucial for structural integrity and stress resistance.
- Amino acids are building blocks of proteins, essential for growth, while sucrose as a simple sugar provides quick energy to plant.
- Promotes bounce back and help turf better withstand physical wear from foot traffic, mowing and environmental pressure.
- Lowers H2O2 accumulation in plant cells, minimizing cellular damage and wilt stress during stressful periods.
- By activating SAR pathway, it primes the turf’s own defense system against fungal and bacterial diseases.
- Supplies high carbon and sugar energy that supports microbial activity and acts as a thatch reducer.
- Protect photosynthesis during drought by modifying thylakoid membrane lipids that keep turf greener longer.
- Enhances plant’s ability to absorb and utilize essential nutrients from soil, supporting healthy growth with low fertilizer requirements.
- Promotes dense and uniform turf that recovers quickly and maintains playability even under demanding conditions.
- Natural formulation reduces reliance on synthetic chemicals, aligning with eco-friendly turf management practices.
Application
Directions for Use:
Greens, Tees and Fine Turf: Apply 95-286 ml of Green-T® Impulse with 6.6-8.8 L of water per 100 m2 (1.0-3.0 gallons of Green-T® Impulse with 66-88 gallons of water per acre), every 7 to 14 days throughout the growing season.
Fairways, Roughs, Sports Turf and Lawns: Apply 95-191 ml of Green-T® Impulse with 4.4-8.8 L of water per 100 m2 (1.0-2.0 gallons of Green-T® Impulse with 44-88 gallons of water per acre), every 2 weeks during stress periods.
