Sempra®, developed by Nissan Chemical Industry, Japan and marketed in India by Dhanuka Agritech Ltd., is a breakthrough herbicide specifically designed to control the world’s most dreaded weed – Nut Grass (Cyperus rotundus). With its powerful active ingredient Halosulfuron Methyl 75% WG, it provides superior weed management in sugarcane, maize, and select vegetables.
Sempra® works as a systemic and post-emergent herbicide, moving through both xylem and phloem to reach underground nutlets and meristem tissues. Within 24–48 hours of application, it blocks nutrient uptake in weeds, starving them of essential amino acids, and preventing regrowth. Farmers trust Sempra® for its proven ability to save labor, reduce manual weeding, and deliver cleaner fields with healthier crops.
